Hi, my name is Raymond Orenda I live in Northern Kenya.
as a community leader my mission is to bring permaculture to my region. We are a community of small scale farmers facing changing weather patterns, low investment and relative isolation. The learning and connection we have experienced already by being involved in permaculture has been transforming and my dream now is to develop a farmer field school to reach out to as many farmers as we can thus help small scale farmers become self-reliant on their organic food supply by use of biochar! I left my county first time earlier last months to study permaculture design at LAIKIPIA PERMACULTURE CENTRE with PRI – KENYA; through the help of a friend who sponsored me, this was a life changing experience for me! I am already teaching and sharing the ideas in my community near Lake Victoria and my ambition is to become a better and more effective teacher.
